Our new home.......

Though this post is a little bit late, we have finally moved into our new house and are slowly but surely getting settled in. This photo was taken the first weekend after the girls and I moved in. We enjoyed seeing the snow. I will post pictures from the inside once everything is in it's place :)

Where has the time gone....

I had a few minutes tonight to sit down and look at my blog for the first time in two months. We really have been in the road since I got back from my two week vacation in Turkey with Nick. Most of my time has been spent working at my part time job at The Children's Place. However, I have made numerous day trips to Warner Robins house hunting, home inspections and whatnot. In 14 days we will close on our new House YAY! (Pictures to come later) and of course the best news that Nick will be leaving Turkey on March 6th and will be home on the 7th. Hopefully once those things happen everything will start to slow down and settle down for us. It will be so nice to be back together as a family and be back under one roof. I have so many pictures to post it probably won't happen. We will just shoot for a few ones next time. Peace out!

Ode to my husband

...on November 21st I left the US, childless, to spend the next 12 days with Nick sorting and sifting through our home getting ready to pack out for our next assignment. While we missed our girls dearly, it was way over due for time together just the two of us. It was so nice to come and go without 14 excess bags......SLEEP all night without waking to crying or holding on to the last stitch in the mattress cause it was stuffed with kids and adults.....putting things away without them only to be pulled back out the minute you turn your back...

We love our girls...wouldn't go back to the way things were before BUT it is true what they say about taking time for your marriage..I agree..and am thankful that my in-laws agreed to take the girls for this time.

"All the things you are to me Darling you have set me free I'll always give you what you need and what you deserve All the joy and all this love I know that it is from above and now together there is enough to fill this world Cause you are the love of my life you are the love of my life and now we are man and wife....." Michelle Featherstone

So...if you can manage to get away from the kids at any point...I highly recommend it!

Here they are....

our Sweet Girls! Both girls did really well for photos, considering that the studio was 45 minutes behind with our appointment time.

Happy First Birthday! Her outfit was made by my friend Alexa at www.jjandme.etsy.com

She would not take the photo without the cats. They had better become some sort of occupation for her later in life.

They really are this happy together. Will it last?
Some of you out there are aware that Addisyn had an MRI this week on a spot on her lower back. We are blessed that the results are normal. She has a little extra fatty tissue (don't we all). It should resolve as she gets old and should cause no problems for her.
The holidays are HERE!

Little Cook.....

The weeks are going by pretty fast here for us. We have been busy getting ready for the holidays. The girls are keeping us entertained and having a great time playing with all their cousins. Addisyn has fell in love with the kitchen. You can't keep that girl out of the cabinets. Her favorite toys these days are bowls. She actually can't keep herself out of them

So, maybe we have a future cook on our hands.
I am taking the girls tomorrow for their Christmas photos. Pray that they cooperate for the entire sitting. Addisyn is also getting her 1st Birthday photos. I am a little late but wanted to do it all together.
I went today for an interview for a temporary job. Not nursing but at The Children's Place. (Yeah, I know crazy) I will definitely let everyone know how this works out.
I am hoping to go back to Turkey this weekend to help Nick pack out our things. I hate to fly but this will be my last flight over. It will be nice to spend a little time together without the girls. However, WE both will miss them dearly.

Travels of a tired Momma

The girls and I have been burning the roads it seems since we have been back. We have managed to stay between Lake, MS and Birmingham almost every week. This past weekend the girls and I traveled to Shaw AFB in Sumter, South Carolina to visit with our dear friends, Jeneice Brian and Marcus, though Brian was TDY to Vegas. It had been about 2 years since the kids (Mackenzie and Marcus) had been together but it didn't take them long to pick it where they left off. Addisyn fit right in doing her own thing and gettin' into cabinets. Jeneice and I had a nice time too catching up on all the happenings. We will be about 200 miles from them when we move to Macon so that will be nice and hopefully we can all hang out more often.

Best Buddies
Enjoying the day
